Kids' College Office

The Kids' College office is located at Lake-Sumter State College's Leesburg Campus in Building M. To contact the office directly, please call (352) 323-3610. The office is open Monday - Thursday during the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Program Dates

Program 1 • June 14 - 24, 2021 (8 days)
• 8 Mornings, 9:00 to 12:00 p.m. • 8 Afternoons, 12:30 to 4:00 p.m.

Program 2 • June 28 - July 8, 2021 (closed 7/5/21)
• 7 Mornings, 9:00 to 12:00 p.m. • 7 Afternoons, 12:30 to 4:00 p.m.

Program 3 • July 12 - 22, 2021 (8 days)
• 8 Mornings, 9:00 to 12:00 p.m. • 8 Afternoons, 12:30 to 4:00 p.m.

Registration Deadlines

Last Day to Register without a Late Fee:
Monday, June 7, 2021

Late Registration Fee Begins:
If space is available, a $25 late registration fee begins:
June 8, 2021

Last Day to Register with a Late Fee:
All registration will close one (1) week prior to the start of the program.

In order not to compromise the efficiency of the program, NO registrations will be accepted after the above dates.

Morning drop-off and Afternoon only campers

Students should be dropped off at their designated location beginning at 7:30 a.m. and must arrive by 9:00 a.m.
Morning only students must be picked up at 12:00 p.m.
Afternoon only students must arrive between 12:15 -12:30 p.m.
Due to the current situation, it is important that you arrive during the specified times.
All drop-offs outside of the specified times should be scheduled by calling (352) 323-3610 in advance.

End of day pickup

Due to safety concerns in place, we are looking to have a parent car rider line at the designated pick-up locations. More detailed information will be communicated in your confirmation letter.
Parents will receive an email with the required paperwork that will be needed at check-out.
Please be sure you understand what is expected of you prior to showing up to camp.
All students must be picked up no later than 4:15 p.m.

Kids’ College T-Shirt & Cap

Select your child’s T-shirt size.
Two (2) T-shirts will be given, free of charge, to each Kids' College student for the duration of the summer and MUST be worn every day for safety and identification purposes.

Parents may pick up T-shirts anytime during the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the following locations.

· Clermont Campus: May 17 – 20, 2021 at Cooper Memorial Library, Room 120 (back of library building)

· Leesburg Campus: June 1 - 3, 2021 at Building M, Room 121

Class Change Fee (only if changes):

Students may make a change to a class (if approved) prior to the class start date. NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE AFTER THE START OF THE PROGRAM.

Due to the popularity of the program, tracking and paperwork involved, we must charge a $20 processing fee for a class change once registered. (To avoid this fee, please take time to discuss all classes with your child prior to registration.)

Refunds

You must submit a written notice to [email protected] five (5) or more days before the program begins to receive a refund. (This will allow us a chance to let someone else have your spot.) Because of the processing time involved, we must retain a $50 fee if you choose to withdraw your child from the program.

Student Rules

All KC students are required to follow the rules expected of LSSC students. The student will participate in class, act in a disciplined manner, and follow instructor's directions. One infraction will generate a warning from the instructor. At the second infraction, the student will meet with the Director and parent. On the third infraction, the student will be expelled from the KC program, without a refund.
