Become an Aide-in-Training (AIT) at Kids' CollegeA Leadership Program for High School StudentsPurpose:
The Aides-in-Training (AIT) program is designed for high school students to earn public service hours while also receiving leadership training and experiences. Who: Students entering 10th-12th grades can apply to become an AIT. No experience is necessary, however an appropriate attitude is required. A limited number of AITs will be selected for each two-week program. What: A work-oriented volunteer experience which gives teens the opportunity to assist Kids' College instructors, staff and students, while helping to create a safe and positive atmosphere for the participants. AITs will receive leadership & safety training, conflict resolution, public service hours and more! 2021 Dates of Programs:Clermont Campus: June 8-17 ~ June 21-July 1 ~ July 6-15 ~ July 19-29 Leesburg Campus: June 14-24 ~ June 28-July 8 (closed 7/5/21) ~ July 12-22 Times: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Days: Mondays - Thursdays Fees: $80 (AITs may be accepted for no more than 2 sessions per summer.) Why:Earn 75+ hours of volunteer public service hours per session for the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program, job applications, college applications and other scholarships. This is a great way to learn how to become a leader in your community and assist in providing youth with an opportunity to explore their interests and learn new skills.
